Artificial Grass Calculator
How much artificial grass do I need?
Artificial grass is sold by the square metre, cut from rolls that are usually 2 m or 4 m wide. Enter the area's length and width and the calculator adds 10% for wastage and trimming. The bigger factor is the roll width: because all the blades must lie the same way, planning your cuts around the 2 m or 4 m width often means buying more than the bare area.
Measure to the widest point of any awkward shape, and remember joins should run in the same direction so the pile matches. Order the underlay and jointing tape at the same time.
